COACHING PHILOSOPHY
My goal is to help you be confident and trust yourself. I want to help you feel better through exercise.
Stress & Recovery balance
I believe in fitting the program for the individual and not the other way around. Doing more than necessary to progress is not a good long-term solution. I aim to find a workload that is balanced between training and recovery. This way, you stay healthy, avoid injuries, and make steady progress.
The big picture
I will build a plan around your factors in life. If life stress is high, it is essential to consider it before adding more training load. Psychological stress is shown to affect training recovery so it is crucial to adapt the program to your situation.
I value consistency and longevity in training. I want to know how you are doing so we can adapt the plan according to you. This happens through continuous communication between us.
Evidence-informed
Being evidence-informed means considering researched evidence in the coaching process. Together with the evidence, your expectations, and my expertise, we have a solid base to solve your problem.
By gathering information on your history and monitoring progress, personalised solutions can be established. Through my coaching process, these aspects are combined to create a fitted plan for you.
EXPERIENCE
I am an experienced physiotherapist and a professional coach. I have a master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science. I specialise in helping people who experience the frustration of not being able to change their habits to become more consistent by supporting them in their daily lives.
I coach people working in knowledge work fields like tech, consulting and start-ups that struggle with finding the time to exercise. Most recently, I worked as a coach inside Google supporting their employees’ physical and mental health.
I develop myself regularly by taking part in continuing education courses and deepening my knowledge to help you in the best possible way. I am especially interested in topics like psychology and stress, exercise physiology, and nutrition.
When it comes to my sports, powerlifting is very close to my heart.
